IELTS Writing Task 2 Unemployment is increasing at a fast pace. What are the advantages and disadvantages of reducing number of working hours to 35 hours per week?

Unemployment is a situation when people despite their experience do not get job and this is burning issue of all the nations. In ancient times, people had jobs to fulfill their desires but conversely in this era, burst in population is dipping vacancies. In order to get ride of this problem, many folks believe that reduction in working hours of current employees is a solution which for me has many advantages rather than its disadvantages.

Firstly, putting light on the brighter side of decreasing timing, employment will hike as to complete work employers will need to recruit workers which ultimately benefit the people who are in search of job. Along with this, sharing of work, reduces stress of workers. When the workers get back to work, they will work with more interest and concentration which will help to increase productivity of a company and directly or indirectly good for employer as well as for employees.

Further, continuing with same, wage earner will get a chance to spend time with his near and dear ones which refills him with energy to give best at work. By spending time with family, their bond
strengthens and parents can keep an eagle's eye on their children's ventures. One more advantage of this is that in leisure time, one indulges himself in hobbies and other health related activities which makes their body fit and helps to keep their mind alert. As all work and no play makes jack a dull boy likewise working for longer hours makes a person's life monotonous so free time fill them with zeal and enthusiasm. Above all, a single mind is a creative factory so when many are working together many ideas sprout in minds and this leads to company profit and take company to a new heights.

At the tip of iceberg, employment helps to live happy life by fulfilling aspirations and desires. Moreover, it is almost imperative to give platform to everyone to show their talent. To give opportunity to everyone to work reducing timing of current hired persons is the best solution for employed, unemployed and employers.
