IELTS Writing Task1:-- The map below shows the amount of annual rainfall in Australia in millimeters

ielts writing task 1 diagram annual rainfall in different parts of australia
Answer :-

The map provides the information about the yearly rainfall in different/distinct  regions/areas/parts of Australia in millimeter(The data is calibrated in Millimeters)

On having a cursory glance at the map, it is clear that coastal areas including Darwin in North direction, Brisbane in West receive more than 800 millimeter rain every year. Tasmania off the coast in South-West also receives similar amount of rain. Probing ahead, between 800-400 millimeters rain occurs in other coastal areas around Sydney, Adelaide which are in the South-West direction and Perth in South-East side.

The map further reveals that the less rain falls in the middle/inner region of Australia as compared to outer areas. The parts of Australia which includes West coast, North of Perth and central areas of island receive rainfall between 400 millimeters and no rain at all.

Thus, it is clear that the coastal areas of Australia are the wettest and central areas are the driest.
