The diagram below shows how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects up-to-the-minute information on the weather in order to produce reliable forecasts.

Answer:-

The diagram illustrates the methods used by Australian Bureau of Meteorology to produce the reliable and accurate weather forecast for radios, televisions and telephones.

It is clear that Australian Bureau follows four steps to gather and produce results. To gather information three methods are used. In first, satellites from the space helps to generate satellite images while radar helps to create pattern on radar screens. Synoptic charts are results of information provided by drifting buoys.

Data collected from all these mediums is analysed to create the reliable forecast. This analysed information becomes input of computer system where broadcast is created for public. On television, news reader reads the telecast for the public which is shown in pictorial form also. Forecast is broadcasted on the radios and information regarding weather is provided to public as a recorded announcement in devices like telephones.

All in all, analyzing the images and computer systems play vital role in creating reliable forecast.

IELTS WRITING TASK1(ACADEMIC) The diagrams below show the life cycle of the silkworm and the stages in the production of silk cloth.

Answer

The life stages of silkworm are depicted in the first diagram while, the procedure of making silk cloth is shown in other diagram.

It is pellucid that in the four phases of silkworm's life cycle, it underwent dramatic changes. Starting from an egg which is laid on the mulberry leaf by the moth. This leaf becomes the food of larvae this is hatched from the eggs after approximately ten days. In the following four to six weeks, silk thread is woven by larvae around its body and it encloses itself completely in cocoon in next three to eight days. Moth comes out of cocoon after a span of 16 days and this cycle continues.

Proceeding to production of silk cloth. This begins with the selection of desired silk cocoon which is boiled in the water in order to unwind it to make a thread of 300-900 m long. After that, these threads are twisted together as one strand to strengthen the thread and dyed in the fourth stage followed by weaving stage, where the silk cloth is finally produced and dyed again.

Overall, the life cycle is a natural process containing four stages while, silk production is  man-made process having six stages.
