IELTS Writing Task 2 - Some people think that a country becomes more interesting and develops faster when population includes a mixture of different nationalities and cultures

Some people think that a country becomes more interesting and develops faster when population includes a mixture of different nationalities and cultures. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Answer

In this global village, migration has become a common phenomena and due to this, distant countries have become house of people of different nationalities, race, caste and creed. The amalgamation is taking many countries to new heights and makes it interesting to live.

First and foremost, a nation where folks of different cultures dwell, has varied languages, rituals and beliefs. All this give a chance to learn about others and enjoy their festivals. Like, a person in Canada, multicultural country, celebrates Hindu festival 'Diwali', Christian's Easter and many more. This mixture not only helps them in learning about others but give them a chance to taste different cuisines as each in every culture and region has its own specialties. For instance, fish from Goan people, Lithi Chokha from Rajasthani folks. So, a person can relish different tastes.

It is not only important for a person personally but helpful at professional front as well. Different people have varied ideas and all perceive everything from different view. These helpful ideas and positive perception can prove fruitful for a company and can help it to reach at the zenith. Not only this will be beneficial for an enterprise but also for a nation whose development depends upon its citizens. For instance, america's economy is the leading in the world due to the experience of people of different brains along with the beauties. More than 50% of scientist in NASA are Indian that have become the backbone of many successful space exploration. Finally, secular countries are more successful than single religion country because in the former people have more tolerance power and respect for others whereas, in latter countries, people have limited knowledge and exposure that make them frog of a well.

All in all, multicultural countries progress fast due to their talented individuals who toil and moil for themselves and country's success. To foster, countries' should open their doors to people of different nationalities.

IELTS Writing task 2 General Letter Writing - Your friend will be staying at your home, but you cannot be there with him because of some reasons.

Your friend will be staying at your home, but you cannot be there with him because of some reasons. Write a letter in which you explain. In your letter
- how he or she will get the key
- how to use the electrical appliances
- recommend some interesting places to visit

Answer

Dear John

I am happy to know about your decision to stay at my home. Unfortunately, I will not be at home during your stay due to an unavoidable business tour. So, to make yourself at home, you need to know some useful information.

Firstly, as you are coming in my absence, you can get a spare key from my neighbors whom you have already met earlier. I have already informed them about your stay. Further, there may be some things which will be new to you like cleaning robot and electrical cook-top. Unlike the traditional cook top, there is no need to Ignite the fire with a matchstick, you can simply press the button to start it. Nextly, cleaning robot is a new gizmos for me and you. Before turning it on, remember to clean the dust bucket. If it is full, it will not be able to collect more dirt and roam freely on electricity. One more thing that you need to remember is to switch off all appliances and lights before stepping out from house.

As you are coming to relax here, you will get plenty of time to visit picturesque locations of Chandigarh. In this season, roses in Rose Garden are at full bloom, please do not give it a miss. Elante Mall is the second best place to visit. It is a newly opened mall, with all types of shops, restaurants and fun activities. As you have been here earlier, only these two new attractions are missing from your bucket list. Do watch these places to have spellbound experience.

Hope your stay at my place will be memorable and we will get a chance to meet in your next visit.

Yours truly

IELTS Writing Task 2 - Some people think that teenagers years are happiest time of most people's life

Some people think that teenagers years are happiest time of most people's life. Others think that adult life brings more happiness, in spite of great responsibilities. Discuss both the views and give your opinion.

Life is divided into three phases namely childhood, young age and old age./ Life is a long and beautiful journey from cradle to grave. Each and every phase of life has its own share of joys and sorrows. For one section of society, teenage is golden period of life but for others, the same applies to adult age. In this essay, I will shed light on both opinions along with my view.

Rolling the ball with the reasons behind teenagers' happiness. In teen years, children are free from the work responsibilities as for them only completing homework is a duty. Moreover, after school and homework, they have time to pursue their hobbies. Hobbies make a person happy by relaxing their mind. Further, child may not earn a single penny but his all desires are fulfilled in blink of an eye by his parents. So, in short, kids are prince and princess of their house  whose words are commands.

Moving to adult age, although in this age, people are working round the clock but their this work and hard core earned salary, make them independent to take decisions. The right to take decisions in life silently falls in their court  and this independence gives them joy, now they can decide their company, friends and partner. In adult age, a person settles and gets a spouse, his happiness doubles as it is known that happiness doubles when sharing and sorrows lessen. Above all, the new events like getting first salary, meeting life partner, becoming parent take them to cloud nine and give joy that cannot be expressed in words.

Finally, I would like to draw the curtain with my views. Simply, for a person, it would be difficult to choose between arm and leg as both are imperative and has their own significance. Similarly, both the stages have unique place in a person's life. Deciding between this would be difficult,qs both are beautiful in their own ways.  Spring of life teaches many things while adult age gives chance to try those things. So, people should enjoy life to fullest life is like an ice cream, enjoy it before it melts.

IELTS Writing Task 1 Letter - You are unhappy about a plan to make your local airport bigger and increase number of flights

You are unhappy about a plan to make your local airport bigger and increase number of flights. You live near the airport. Write a letter to local newspaper. In your letter explain
- where do you live
- describe the problem
- give reasons why you do not want this development

Answer

Dear sir
I am writing this epistle in regards to the 'airport expansion' article published in your newspaper on May the 25th. The proposal to expand the airport and increase the flight will have adverse effect on people living in its vicinity.

My house is five minutes drive from the airport and this proximity will turn into bane after the proposal. Firstly, most flights means more noise. As take off and landing create a lot of annoying noise, it is difficult for a person to work peacefully and have a sound sleep at night. Moreover, many people living near the airport are already suffering from insomnia due to the low flying airplanes at night.

Further, to expand it, more area is needed that directly points to the cutting of trees in the surrounding areas of the airport. This will decrease the area of children's park, it is also used by mature people for exercising and walking.

I strongly oppose this plan. I would appreciate if you could possibly write an article about this problem. It would be very much in public interest if the ministry of Aviation and tourism be made aware of public grievance that would be bound to face.

Yours sincerely
